Crochet pouf tutorial

Hooked Zpagetti Red Pouf

For Christmas I was given some Hooked Zpagetti red yarn. Having seen knitted and crocheted poufs popping up in stylish interiors on the internet it seemed like the perfect material for a DIY version. I wanted to create something nice and squishy. The crochet shell is made with an open stitch and stuffed full of a kingsize duvet. It's so super comfortable and kids love bouncing on it.

Fasten off.

Repeat rows 1-3 above to create a base. Fasten off.

Attach the base a one point, sew the button onto this point as well. sew the other 3 buttons to the main base and fasten buttons using the crochet of the pouf as button holes.

* I chose to create a separate bottom to the pouf for access to remove the filling for washing. Alternatively you could stuff the pouf at this point and continue reducing the stitch count in the same way as you have done for the other rounds until you get to the point where you are dc2tog for all stitches.
